Golden tree

During the Covid lockdowns people were not allowed to go far from their homes. Serlin went with her children to the forest near her home. In an initiated activity Serlin asked her children to paint a fallen and broken tree in gold. In this work she documents her children’s activity, between playing, therapy and healing, taking care and love. The documentation captures family time and moments of optimism in a reality of uncertainty. Amazings, the broken tree remained in the forest and has become a visiting spot for children and families. People that came to the forest looked for the golden tree. This is an example of activity in the public space that creates gentle change in the public’s perception of the space.
